Cucumber Salad

What are the benefits of cucumbers for curls? Cucumbers have 95% water, vitamins B, C, K, A, helps hair growth, rids body of toxins. They also have magnesium, and phosphorus.  Cucumber helps increase elasticity of the hair preventing breakage, and encourages thicker fuller hair growth. Rich in sulfur and potassium, cucumber stops hair fall providing nutrients to the scalp, strengthening the hair follicle and stimulating hair growth. Loaded with healthy hair nutrition–the juice in cucumber provides  calcium, sulphur, silicon, riboflavin, folate, pantothenic acid, iron, silica, calcium, and zinc, and sodium. Try this delicious cucumber salad as a side dish for curly hair benefits.

1pound seedless cucumbers, thinly sliced

1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt

2 1/2 Tablespoons olive oil

2 1/2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar

1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced

In a medium sized bowl, toss the cucumber slices with the salt and let stand for 5 minutes. Stir in the olive oil, vinegar and red onion.  Refrigerate the cucumber salad for 10 minutes, then serve.
